End of life planning is for you if you want...

  • To design your funeral in advance and mark your passing intentionally
  • An informed, open-minded and nonreligious conversation partner for guidance in your choices
  • To know more about green burials and other ecologically sustainable options for your body
  • To explore unconventional options such as a home funeral or living funeral
  • To lift the planning burden from those closest to you

You (or your loved ones) will be relieved to have clear direction and an understanding of your values. By the end of our meetings, you'll have documentation of your end of life care preferences, a list of specific providers and venues that can meet your wishes, and the outline of a funeral that reflects your life, your values, legacy, and personality.  I provide paper and thumb drive versions for you to keep or share with others.

Available in person in Greater Boston, and by video conference elsewhere in the U.S. and internationally.

David K.

I’d planned both my parents’ funerals and was overwhelmed by all the decisions. I knew I wanted to do things differently. Working with Beth gave me a feeling of lightness. She’s warm, funny, and incredibly informed — and now I know my own family will have a much easier time when the moment comes.

Rick S.

After my husband died, I wanted to capture some wishes for my own body and how I’d like to be remembered. But I also wanted to acknowledge our relationship in those choices. Beth was a steady guide. She helped me clarify what mattered most, and how to make it all practical for our kids.
As I retired and moved to Europe, I kept thinking — what happens if I die overseas? Would my family know what to do? Beth researched options I hadn’t even considered. She even reached out to expat forums to get real answers. Now my wishes are documented, and I can focus on living my life.

What to expect

Once you choose a time and submit a deposit, you'll receive an email confirmation with all the details. You'll also hear from me personally before we meet so you can share anything you might want to consider beforehand. If you need a different length meeting than what's listed, please reach out after you've scheduled the meeting.

When we first meet, we'll cover your specific questions, goals, values, concerns, and requests. Then we'll have a conversation that covers all the major aspects of choosing a disposition and crafting a ceremony. After our first meeting, I begin putting together specific options and recommendations that can meet your requests. At our next meeting we review and refine.

At the end, you'll receive a thumb drive and a paper copy documenting your choices, and an outline of your ceremony with personal elements noted.

I look forward to this conversation with you!
